About Us:

The Rang De Hyderabad Chapter is an enthusiastic group of volunteers which aims to contribute in multiple ways to the cause of Rang De. After stumbling many times trying to find its feet, the group has finally reached critical mass to ensure that activities keep on going irrespective of an individual members' availability. We look forward to your feedback on the wiki and how we can make it more informative. Please drop a mail to hydchapter@rangde.org in case you have feedback for us.

What is a chapter and what can chapter members do?

This is a question which we often field and the answer to which improves as chapters across India evolve. A chapter is a group of A few things that we intend to do as part of a chapter and as a chapter are as follows:

i. Spread the Rang De word. This can be done in my ways:

a. Online: Email, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs etc.,

b. Offline: By talking about it in your offices, colleges, other forums that you attend

c. Events: By holding events where you can either talk about Rang De or create a buzz about the event.

d. Being a Rang De brand activist.

ii. Field trips: Conducting and participating in field trips to borrower locations. This helps members understand Rang De better. Be more convinced and involved in the idea of Rang De.

iii. Help the Rang De team perform their task better by shouldering some of their work: This task has no clear process. A member needs to understand the needs of the organization and come forward with his intention of helping the organization.

• Rang De was being considered for receiving the proceeds from the Hyderabad Twestival but most probably it will not go through.
• Aishwarya in conversation with Nabeel of MJ College to make a presentation there.
• Aishwarya and Sam to come up with a strategy to improve Rang De's twitter presence
• Sam to introduce possibility of partnership for Rang De t shirts.
• Anil and Ipshita to take a lead in designing the chapter wiki and completing the work by next meeting date i.e. 19th Feb 2011
